The flair-flaunting cabin makes it evident that the first Kia SUV in India is aimed straight at the millennials!

After an early confirmation of the Indian entry and a later detailing of the first product, the Korean carmaker Kia Motors has now begun teasing their upcoming mid-size SUV in India by letting out the official sketches of its interior first. Yet to be named officially, this mid-SUV would mark the brand’s Indian debut and would be based on the Kia SUV concept- SP2i, that had amassed huge fanfare at the Delhi Auto Expo.

The latest sketches depict the interior of the SUV to be finished in high-quality materials throughout. Serious amounts of time have evidently gone into the design of the interior. The dashboard and centre console have been carefully drawn into aesthetically supreme entities. Epic bits like metallic highlights can be seen at places such as the air vents. The dashboard features a sweeping design that does charms on the eyes and is presumably broad.

No, we are not done with the strong points of the this Kia SUV cabin yet! There is also immense focus on technology and equipment inside so that the car stays close to the hearts of its young-at-heart, tech-savvy buyers, a fair share of whom is hoped to be millennials. A grab bar on the passenger side of the centre console tells but this SUV to be no lame snail- indeed a fair luring factor for the sporty millennial in you!

As per the sketches, the new midsize KIA SUV would feature a massive 10.25-inch touchscreen navigation system that would open up doors to a vast sea of features. The beautifully laid out centre console also hosts controls for the air conditioning system. The SUV would also feature Kia’s Sound Mood Lighting technology, which essentially is an ambient lighting tech that can be personalized to a large extent.

Byung Chul Juh, Head of Kia Styling at Kia Motors Corporation, comments: “We have
focused on designing a cabin unlike any other in the mid-SUV segment, with a greater sense of depth and richness to the design. Our newest model will offer greater pleasure and satisfaction to our customers, with a premium-quality interior that benefits from sophisticated design details.”

There has not yet been any official word on this Kia SUV launch date in India, but we just know it would happen sometime in the second half of 2019. The trial production of the car had commenced on 29th January 2019, at Kia’s state-of-the-art facility in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh.
