Hyundai Motor India has launched the new 6th generation Verna, hoping to bring a fresh take on sedans.
Hyundai Verna 2023 is available with both NA and turbocharged petrol engines, in 10 variants and is priced in the 10.90 – 17.37 lakh range (ex-showroom and introductory).
The new Verna is based on Hyundai's new-age ‘Sensuous Sportiness’ design philosophy and is one of the best-looking sedans in its class.
It comes in a total of 9 colourways-7 monotones and 2 dual tones.
The new Verna is larger than the previous model, with a longer wheelbase and wider body, translating to more room on the inside and a larger boot.
The interior features a futuristic design, with premium and luxurious bits and trims and two-spoke steering.
The sedan is packed with features, including a 10.25-inch touchscreen, premium BOSE audio, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Alexa integration, ambient lighting, selectable drive modes, digital instrument cluster, ventilated and heated seats, powered driver seat, voice-enabled smart sunroof, and cruise control.
It also comes with a switchable controller unit for the AC and infotainment systems, which switches the touch panel between these, at the press of a button.
The new Verna is available in 4 powertrain combinations - a 1.5 MPi naturally aspirated petrol engine and a newly developed 1.5 TGDi turbo petrol engine, both with manual and automatic transmissions.
The 1.5L NA petrol produces 115 PS and 144 Nm, while the new turbo petrol churns out 160 hp and 253 Nm, with a claimed mileage of up to 20 kpl.
