2023 Toyota Prius Is The Prettiest Prius Yet!

Toyota has taken wraps off the new, fifth-generation Prius ahead of LA Auto Show 2022.

The new car is lower, longer, sleeker, gets more features and comes with better powertrains.

Toyota Prius no longer looks weird or ugly. The lines are now clean, surfaces smooth and overall aesthetics modern .

But it still looks like a Prius-  gets the teardrop shape, low stance, sleek proportions, flat rear end, sharp nose design, and more.

But look at those lights... They look EPIC! Futuristic, but not gimmicky!

The cabin looks cool. It is well laid out and fairly kitted. Key features include a panoramic moonroof, Toyota safety sense and Advance park system.

The overall cabin design and layout could remind you of the Toyota bZ4X. Unlike its predecessors, the new Prius has its instrument gauges placed in front of the driver, and not on the dash.

The new Prius PHEV offers optional solar roof panels. These roof-mounted solar cells could be used to charge the hybrid in addition to charging via the engine or at a charging station.

The new Prius is underpinned by Toyota's new-age TNGA platform.

The biggest upgrade is the drivetrain. 2023 Prius gets a bigger 2.0L petrol engine than the previous car's 1.8L unit. Mated to this engine is a transaxle-mounted electric motor and 13.6 kWh battery pack.

The engine produces 148 hp and together with the electric motor, the combined output jumps to a whopping 220 hp!

With the improved powertrain spec, Toyota is claiming under 10% hike fuel efficiency and bigger ones in power and performance. 57 mpg is to be expected.
