PORSCHE MACAN EV  SPECS REVEALED!

Porsche hints at the overwhelming powertrain specs of the Macan EV ...

Porsche Macan EV has been in the news for long. The launch, originally planned for 2023, was recently pushed to 2024, due to technical issues with VW Group’s software division.

Porsche has now revealed  the insane specifications of this electric SUV!

Porsche will build the electric Macan on the new Premium Platform Electric (PPE) platform co-developed with Audi.

Porsche Macan EV will produce upto 603 hp and  738 lb ft (or 1000 Nm!) in its dual motor, AWD variant.

The SUV will have a large 100 kWh Lithium-ion battery pack and an 800V architecture that'd support very high charging speeds.

Silicon Carbide will be used as semiconductor in the inverter, replacing Silicon- meaning less switching losses.

A single speed gearbox will be offered, unlike the two-speed unit on the Taycan.

Macan EV will have a rear-mounted electronic locking differential, rear-wheel steering and major improvements in handling.

Though there are no numbers out yet, Porsche assures that the Macan EV will be the sportiest in its segment!
