Tata Sons To Unify All Airline Brand Under Air India: Report

Post the merger, Air India will become the sole airline brand of Tata Sons.

Tata Sons is a major player in the Indian airline business.

Tata Group owns the following airline brands: -Vistara -AirAsia India -Air India -Air India Express

Recent media reports suggest that Tata Sons would soon unify these under Air India.

After the merger, Air India will become the sole airline concern of Tata Group.

It is then expected to become the second in India, in terms of fleet size and market share. Will have a total of 233 aircrafts in its fleet!

Sources suggest that Vistara- a joint venture with Singapore Airlines (SIA), might soon be dropped! Some of its board members could be inducted into Air India.

Air India and Air India Express were earlier consolidated into a single entity.
