Hycross comes with only 2.0L normal petrol and 2.0L strong hybrid petrol engine options. No diesel variants are available

Strong hybrid comes with an e-CVT transmission and the normal petrol engine comes with a CVT transmission. No manual option is offered for the Innova Hycross.

Toyota replaces the rugged body-on-frame chassis with the a lighter monocoque chassis. While the monocoque chassis helped the Hycross shed 200kg over the Crysta, the Toyota enthusiasts who loved the ruggedness will miss the body-on-frame chassis.

Hycross is the first Toyota model in India to be offered with ADAS features. However, the company does not offer auto emergency braking feature.

The top-end variants of the Hycross is only offered with captain seats in the middle row. Middle bench seats are available from G & V variants.
