Upcoming Cars And SUV Launches In March 2023

A number of new launches from different car makers are expected to happen in the upcoming weeks. Toyota, Honda, Maruti Suzuki and others will come up with multiple new cars and SUVs soon. Let's take a detailed look at these.

The fifth-gen Honda City was launched in India in mid-2020. The car is getting its first update since its launch. The updated version will have ADAS features in the higher trims of the regular petrol engine.

Price will be announced on March 2. Test drives will start this week. New entry-level trims will be added to both the strong-hybrid and regular petrol variants.

The all new Verna is all set to make its global debut on March 21. The new model is larger than the outgoing one. The 2023 Verna will get a new 1.5L turbo-petrol engine.

The old 1.5 L NA petrol mill will be retained, and no diesel engine will be offered. Bookings are currently open at a token amount of Rs. 25,000.

The Alcazar will get a mid-life update this year, as the current 2.0L NA petrol mill will get replaced by a new 1.5L turbo-petrol engine from the new Verna. The front fascia will get a small design tweak. Bookings are currently open, with a token amount of Rs. 25,000.

The Innova Crysta diesel is back after a short interval. The Crysta will now come with a 2.4L diesel powertrain only. This is the first time that Toyota will sell two Innova models simultaneously. The front grille, bumper and fog lamp housing get a design update.

The fifth-gen Lexus RX was showcased at Auto Expo 2023, and is expected to launched in March. Two trims will be available in India -  RX 350h Luxury and RX 500h F Sport Performance.

Two engine options  - 2.5-litre turbo-petrol engine   (CVT) - 2.4-litre turbo-petrol (6-speed   automatic) Both get strong-hybrid assist

The first CNG-powered car in India with an automatic gearbox. Gets a 1.5-litre K15C DualJet engine, from Ertiga/XL6. It will come with a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission and a 5-speed manual gearbox.

Maruti Suzuki Brezza CNG

Baleno-based Fronx SUV coupe will also make its debut in India in the upcoming weeks. Two engine options –  a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol and a 1.2-litre petrol.

Both are coupled with 5-speed manual and the turbo-petrol will get a 6-speed automatic, while the 1.2L petrol gets an AMT gearbox. Will be sold in Nexa outlets. main rivals - Citroen C3, Tata Punch, Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger.
