Electric Vehicles

Xiaomi steals the show with its SU7 EV, amid Apple Car rumours!

Chinese brand Xiaomi is known for manufacturing smartphones and gadgets. It even has a bunch of e-scooters on sale.

Upping the game, the manufacturer has now revealed its first-ever passenger electric car- Xiaomi SU7.

The Xiaomi EV is currently undergoing homologation process in China. Images and data sourced from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) website are rather interesting.

Xiaomi SU7 is an electric sedan that looks brilliant. It is sleek and futuristic.

Exterior design of the four-door fastback seems to have drawn inspiration from the likes of Genesis G70, Porsche Taycan and probably even modern-day McLarens!

Key design highlights include horizontally split headlights, a tapering bonnet, an active rear spoiler, wrap-around tail lamps and a sleek rear.

Records suggest that the SU7 sedan will be available in three different versions: SU7, SU7 Pro, and SU7 Max

Xiaomi SU 7 will come with two powertrain options- 299hp RWD configuration with a top speed of 210kph.  The second is a 673hp dual-motor, 4WD setup that has a top speed of 265kph.

Two battery packs will be on offer on the Xiaomi sedan. Lower versions will have a BYD-sourced LFP battery while the more expensive version will come with a larger CATL unit.

Xiaomi’s first car will be built in collaboration with China's automotive major BAIC.
