The Thar is currently available in 4WD and RWD configurations, with both petrol and diesel engines.
In terms of features, the Thar comes loaded with the like of a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment, 6-speakers, TPMS, rear parking sensors, fog lamps, cruise control, front power windows, etc.
Mahindra Thar is available with a 2.0L petrol (150bhp and 320Nm), 2.2L diesel ( 130bhp and 300Nm) and a 1.5L diesel (117bhp and 300Nm) engines, mated to either 6-speed manual and automatic gearboxes.
Currently, Force Gurkha is the only direct rival to the Thar in the Indian market. But it fails to outperform the Mahindra on multiple fronts.
