The MINI range is much adored for its precise and peppy Go-Kart like drive experience. This exhilaration only sees a colossal hike in the new John Cooper Works hatch, that has just been launched in India at a mouth-watering price of INR 43,50,000!
John Cooper Works, as you might recall, is MINI’s own dose of performance. Every model from the JCW wing boasts of breathtaking performance, super-high driving dynamics, scalpel-sharp handling, and evident racing genes.
The JCW hatch is based on the outgoing MINI 3 door hatch and currently reaches India via the CBU route. The bookings have already begun and the deliveries will start by June.

Built to thrill like the rest of the lineup, the John Cooper Works India hatch hosts a bunch of visually appealing, aerodynamically efficient cosmetic- and/or performance enhancements. Hexagonal radiator grille with a honeycomb pattern and a red cross member at the bottom, exclusive bonnet with characteristic JCW stripes, and LED headlamps are all part of the package. Wide, long and low, the MINI John Cooper Works sports an aggressive silhouette as well.
The macho-looking front apron with integral air ducts, side sills, sporty 17″ JCW Track Spoke Light black Alloy wheels are all also of performance significance !
Braking in the JCW hatch is handled by 4 piston, fixed caliper brakes finished in bold Chilli Red and with a John Cooper Works badge each.
The MINI John Cooper Works hatch interior also has many a bit worth talking about. May it be the John Cooper Works sport seats integrated with headrests in Carbon Black Dinamica Leather and with red accents, the John Cooper Works steering wheel with paddle shifters and automatically adjusted steering sensitivity or the John Cooper Works stainless steel pedal caps, everything reminds you of nothing but racing!
The John Cooper Works Mini specs are remarkably incredible. Under the hood is a 2.0 L, 4 cylinder TwinPower Turbo mill that can let out as much as 231 hp and 320 Nm, figures that can help the car speed past the 100 km/h mark in 6.1 seconds! The engine is mated to an 8 speed sports Steptronic automatic transmission that also gives the driver the convenience of using paddle shifters!
