BS6 Kawasaki Ninja 650 Launched At INR 6.24 Lakh!

The Kawasaki Ninja 650 BS6 looks way more up to date than its predecessor

Kawasaki India has launched the all-new BS6 Kawasaki Ninja 650 at an attractive price of INR 6.24 lakh. The BS6 bike has gotten significant upgrades in both its design and equipment array. It now looks more aggressive and sportier than its predecessor. The overall design could be called inspired much by the Kawasaki Ninja 400 that is currently on sale in the country.

Talking about the design, there is a set of new twin LED headlamp that provides for better illumination in low light scenarios. The windshield has significantly grown in length on the new bike. The new Kawasaki Ninja 650 comes in two exciting shades- Lime Green Ebony and Pearl Flat Stardust White, both of which look breathtakingly awesome.

The equipment array on the Ninja 650 has also had major updates. The bike now gets a 4.3 inch TFT instrument cluster that offers a vast range of information to the rider. It is for the first time in the history of Kawasaki that a 650cc offering is getting such a unit. The system also offers a Bluetooth connectivity feature as well, which makes it possible for the rider to connect his smartphone via the Kawasaki Rideologo app. The new Ninja 650 has 120mm wide front rims and 160mm wide rear ones, shoed with Sportmax Roadsport 2 rubber from Dunlop.

The BS6 Kawasaki Ninja 650, as the name indicates, gets a BS6 compliant engine that essentially is a heavily revised version of the previous model’s 649cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin mill. Numerous key changes have been made to the intake and exhaust systems of this engine to reduce emissions without giving up on the performance front. Thus, the same power and torque figures of 68 PS and 64 Nm have been retained on the BS6 model as well. The engine comes well mated to the familiar 6-speed transmission unit.
