Nightster has become the new entry point to Harley India’s lineup
Harley Davidson has brought their newest sportster motorcycle to the Indian shores, months past its global premiere. 2022 Harley Davidson Nightster is priced from Rs 14.99 lakh (ex-showroom) in India, and is now the new entry-point to the HD portfolio here. The fully specced motorcycle would demand up to Rs 15.13 lakh, ex-sh.
2022 Harley Davidson Nightster: Quick Overview
Harley Davidson has had a ‘Nightster’ in the past. There used to be a HD Nightster in 2007, with distinctly different character and placement from the motorcycle we are talking about here. The new one, however, is a totally different motorcycle. It gets a fresh design, updated mechanicals and brings a lot more appeal at a rather affordable price.
Harley Davidson Nightster Design
In terms of design, the new Nightster is a bobber and has multiple instances in it that would draw it closer to the Sportster lineup. It gets a design that looks and feels modern without losing out on the classic proportions or Harley’s signature design DNA. Highlights here include a classic round headlamp with a familiar cowl design, and a peanut-shaped element that pretends to be a tank, but is actually a steel cover for the airbox (for the design’s sake I suppose!). The real fuel tank sits under the saddle and has a capacity of 11.7 liters. Three colorways are available- Red, Black and Grey.

Harley Davidson Nightster Specifications
HD Nightster gets a smaller iteration of the Revolution Max as its powertrain. This 975cc engine is capable of producing 89 bhp and 95 Nm, and is mated to a 6-speed transmission. Further, the powerhouse is mounted in a way that it acts as a stressed member of the Trellis frame. Suspension duties are carried out by 41mm Showa forks at the front and twin coil-spring shocks at the rear. The motorcycle comes with 320mm front disc and 260mm floating type disc at the rear.
Harley Davidson Nightster: Possible Rivals
The Nightster 2022 doesn’t have a direct rival in India, at present. However, going by the way it is priced, it could face competition from the new Indian Scout Bobber and Triumph Bonneville bobber.
