Kia India gets massive response for the Kia Carens as booking begins

Ahead of the February launch, Kia had recently opened bookings for the Kia Carens MPV. Made in India Carens can be booked online or through dealerships by paying a token amount of Rs 25,000. As it turns out, the Carens could be the next big hit for Kia India. The MPV received massive responses from the Indian crowd on the first day of booking. Kia reveals that 7738 units were booked in 24 hours of the portal going live! These figures are also the highest for any Kia in India yet.

Kia Carens: Five Variants

Kia is launching the Carens in five variants – Premium, Prestige, Prestige Plus, Luxury, and Luxury Plus. Carens is available in the 6-seat, 7-seat layouts as well. With a longest-in-class wheelbase of 2,780mm, Kia Carens is large and spaceous.

As for the powertrains, Carens will have two petrol and one diesel engines, identical to the outgoing Seltos- 1.5 L petrol with 115 hp, 1.4L turbo petrol with 140 hp and a 1.5L Diesel with 115 hp. Kia is expected to launch the Carens in February, priced somewhere in the Rs. 12 – 20 Lakh bracket.
