Here’s a quick look at the new Mahindra Scorpio N’s interior and equipment lists
With days left for the official physical reveal and market launch, Mahindra has taken veils off the Scorpio-N’s interior design and has also released hints of the features to expect. From the data and images that’ve surfaced yet, there is a lot to be excited about!
Going by the sneak peek, the cabin experience seems to have had great leaps ahead. The new Scorpio N’s interior would look roomy, elegant, and upmarket. The dashboard looks well designed and premium. There are a number of aesthetic and/or premium touches like vertically mounted AC vents, satin Silver accents, etc. The infotainment system would have a 10.25-inch touchscreen as its primary interface. There is generous use of tan leather inside the cabin, but the most charming would be the one on the dash.
The central tunnel looks neat and well-set. It gets a fair-sized gear lever ( loud shifter design has always been a ‘Scorpio thing’!). A rotary selector is also seen in the images, adjacent to the gear lever. The images have confirmed 4WD and regular handbrakes on the top-spec. Thankfully no fancy e-brakes!
We’re not yet sure if the new Scorpio N would offer motorized front seats. It should get electric adjustments for the driver seat, is what we presume! But a lovely bit here would be the pillar-mounted grab handle on the driver’s side, which would be extremely useful in climbing in!
Talking of the seats, the vehicle will have a theatre-style seating layout. The middle row will have captain seats and the third row seems to be well-designed and offering ample space.
Scorpio N Features: AdrenoX And Sony 3D Sound System Confirmed!
Mahindra has now confirmed that the new Scorpio will come with the new-age AdrenoX cockpit engine. Expect the experience to be slightly more restrained than what you would see on the XUV700, as the Scorpio N would feature an instrument cluster comprising regular dials and a digital display that’s not half big as the one on the XUV. However, the AdrenoX is claimed to bring all its bells and whistles along, making the new-age Scorpio a sophisticated SUV.
Another confirmed piece of equipment is a premium 3D sound system by Sony. We had seen a similar system previously on the XUV 700. Sony had custom-designed the speakers for the XUV, for ensuring maximum immersive audio experience. It remains to be seen if the Scorpio N will have custom-built speakers too and in what numbers. Expect these details to be out by June 27th, when the new ScorpioN would have its official launch.
