Bookings for new Maruti Baleno would begin on February 1
Maruti Suzuki might launch the all-new Baleno on February 10, 2022, suggest reports. The production of the new Baleno has already started at Suzuki’s Gujarat plant. Though the carmaker hasn’t officially announced the launch dates, multiple news reports suggest the car will launch on February 10.
Bookings for the new model will start on February 1 through Nexa dealerships and the official website. The dealer training will also begin on the same date.
2022 Maruti Baleno Exterior Design Expectations
Underpinned by a modified Heartect platform, the new Baleno could offer improved build quality and safety. The model is expected to come with all-new body panels and could be made with thicker steel. Notably, the new projector headlamps with integrated LED DLRs would compliment a new mesh grille.
The redesigned front bumper features a wider air dam flanked by round and cavernous fog lamp housings. Meanwhile, Maruti has detained the clamshell bonnet design. The rear bumpers of the Baleno have been reprofiled with new L-shaped LED tail lamp clusters and refreshed tailgate design. There might be a new set of alloy wheels as well.
2022 Maruti Baleno: Interior
The most important change in the new Baleno comes in the form of its touchscreen infotainment display. The new display will be larger, free-standing, and would include multiple connectivity options such as Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It’s also reported that Suzuki Connect will also be offered.
Maruti Suzuki is expected to overhaul the dashboard too. Other changes would include new V-shaped air-con vents, a flat-bottom steering wheel, and a reworked instrument cluster. A Heads-up display with limited customization is also expected in the new car.

2022 Maruti Baleno: What’s under the hood
Maruti is expected to deploy the same 1.2-liter VVT petrol unit and a 1.2-liter Dualjet petrol unit in the upcoming car. The Dualjet model is also likely to come up with a 12V mild-hybrid tech. While the VVT petrol unit has the capability of churning out 82 BHP and 113 Nm, the Dualjet would produce 89 BHP and the same torque.
