2022 Range Rover comes in both the SWB and LWB forms
Jaguar Land Rover has launched the new-gen Range Rover in the country from Rs 2.3 crores, ex-showroom. The luxury SUV, in its fifth generation, has significantly grown in pricing as well. It is available in the short wheelbase (SWB) and Long Wheelbase (LWB) body styles and in four different variants, including an exclusive First Edition (Obviously, 2.3 Crores is the base price!). JLR has started accepting bookings for the SUV.
2022 Range Rover: What’s So Special About It?
Land Rover had unveiled the latest generation Range Rover globally in October last year, which was soon followed by its global market launch. India gets the global product almost unchanged, and with a new HSE variant to it. Even better, the First Edition will be available throughout this year, packing as much exclusivity in it, as its global counterpart. It will be exclusively specced and be available in the signature Sunset Gold Satin colorway alone.
The new Range Rover gets significant syling revamp, and is more or less a modern interpretation of the legendary Range Rover proportions and styling. It now gets a period-ready front end that equally reflects classic RR design ethos. The key design highlights of this generation are the falling roofline, boat tail rear, split tailgate and hidden-until-lit lighting details.
Buyers get to enjoy a wider colour palette on the new Range Rover, and there is a wider selection of interior trims and customizations as well.
The overall cabin layout and design look fresh and appealing. There is generous use of technology inside and a long list of features for epic occupant comfort and convenience. The most notable ones would be the 13.1 inch HD touchscreen infotainment system (loaded with the latest generation Pivi Pro engine), 13.7 inch digital instrument cluster, all-wheel steering, Land Rover’s integrated chassis control, Terrain Response 2 and the smart HUD.
The cabin space is something that has escalated to whole new levels on the gen 5 car. 2022 Range Rover is built on JLR’s new MLA Flex platform, that honestly is huge! 2022 Range Rover LWB is in fact the longest Range Rover ever made! It is available as a 7 seater, a first in the entire Range Rover history. The standard wheelbase would be a strict 5 seater though.
