The sales of the Audi R8 Panther Edition will be confined to the US alone.
Audi R8 has always been a favorite sportscar among enthusiasts. It was way futuristic when it was launched back in 2006. It then came with a 4.2L V8 mill producing 414hp and 508Nm of torque- Jaw-dropping figures in early times. Audi has also been offering the Gallardo sourced 5.2L V10. Bang!
The R8 maintained a balance in terms of tracking and daily driving. Best of both worlds! It came in a lot of variations and editions through the years. Now the manufacturer has revealed a new special edition, dubbed the Panther Edition, which is limited to just 30 units and will only be available in the US market.
The Panther Edition will further enhance the visual appeal of the already snazzy R8. The newest edition gets an Audi-exclusive Panther Black crystal effect paint job with carbon fiber wing mirrors, engine compartment, and side intakes. The 20-inch alloys are finished in matte black with red accents on the spokes. And the badges too have been blacked out.
Hopping in, the R8 Panther Edition’s cabin is finished in black Nappa leather with contrasting red stitching and the Audi racing seats finished in red. The Panther Edition is only available as a RWD Coupe powered by the 5.2L NA V10 engine churning out 532hp and 540Nm of torque. The R8 does the stand still to 60mph run in just 3.6seconds and a top speed of 200mph (323kmph)
