Tata Motors Bags Order For 921 Electric Buses From BMTC

In a month’s time, the Indian manufacturer has sold 3600 electric buses!

Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) has won orders for 921 electric buses from Tata Motors. This comes as part of a larger tender by Convergence Energy Services Ltd (CESL). Tata would supply, operate and maintain these 12-meter, low-floor, electric buses for the next 12 years. Electric Tata Starbus is quite known for its comfort and performance.

The manufacturer had previously received orders for 1500 e-buses from Delhi transport corporation and 1190 units from West Bengal Transport Corporation in the past 30 days- taking the net number of sales to 3600 units!

Tata Motors continues to exhibit its strong performance in the CV space and currently has a decent number of offerings in the electric, hybrid, CNG, LNG, and ICE spaces.
