We always knew that the Jimny had a thing to do with the G Wagon in styling, this Brabus custom takes this to a whole new level!
Maruti Suzuki had recently confirmed that they would launch the Jimny in India. While there has not been a clear word as to when this would happen, we have all been waiting for the tiny-yet-mighty SUV to hit our roads. There have also been hints of a five door Jimny in the pipelines for the domestic market. While the excitement for the Jimny is sky high, here is something to add more spice to it- a custom-made Suzuki Jimny Brabus!
This Jimny from the UAE tries to imitate the mighty Mercedes G Wagon in its looks and as a matter of fact, does succeed a fair bit in it. The MY21 vehicle has extensive customization gone into it. It gets metallic pearl white paint scheme with Black accents. The front end looks so much like the G Wagon with the new custom made grille (which gets chromed vertical slats like the G63 AMG), LED headlamps, Mercedes-inspired bumper, and hood-mounted indicator lamps. There are black accents on the hood and roof-mounted light bars as well. There are multiple Brabus brandings on the car including a large central logo at the front.
The side profile also looks butch (but disproportionate, to be honest!) with the flared wheel arches, black accents reminiscent of the Mercedes SUV, short wheelbase and untouched window lines. The Jimny Brabus gets a set of stunning new alloys too.
The rear end is as deceiving as the front, in terms of design. It mimics the G Wagon quite well. There is a Brabus-branded wheel cover on the spare wheel as well, a common sight on Brabus G wagons. The taillamps and bumper are different too. While the design cues give this Jimny an air of the ‘G Wagon’, the overall dimensions betray it! The Jimny is considerably tinier than the Mercedes SUV and this makes the Brabus Jimny look like a comic G Wagon! (or on a danker note, a grown-up hotwheels car!)
This modified Jimny inspired by Brabus gets major tweaks on the inside as well. The cabin color theme now mimics that of the Brabus G. As another muse, this Jimny gets an all-new Carbon Fiber steering wheel. There is even a stunning starlight roof on this car, something very typical of a Brabus Mercedes! The free-standing multimedia screen has integrated navigation and is essentially the stock unit.
The car comes with a 1.5L petrol engine and has an automatic transmission. Almost everything mechanical remains unchanged on this custom. This modified Jimny is now listed for sale on Dubizzle. The site mentions it to be a sparingly used 2021 model, from Al Quoz, Dubai.
