Hero Motocorp Sells 5.48 Lakh Units In October 2021

Hero had recently refreshed its product lineup as well.

Hero Motocorp posted reassuring sales in October 2021. The manufacturer sold 5,47,970 units in October this year, translating to a healthy recovery from the September figures of 5,30,346 units, a 3% hike to be precise. Of the October volumes, 5,05,957 (92% of net sales) were motorcycles, and 42,013 (7% of total volumes) were scooters. The domestic sales stood at 5,27,779 units this time while 20,191 vehicles were exported.

Looking at the bigger picture, Hero’s October sales in 2021, have been lower than those of October 2020. In October 2020, the manufacturer had sold 8,06,848 units, translating to a massive drop of 2,58,870 units (32% decline) this time. Both motorcycle and scooter sales this year have been lower than the numbers of October 2020.

However, exports exhibited a reassuring recovery in Oct 2021, by going up by 28%. This is expected to grow further as Hero is eyeing more international markets, a fact underlined by the recent inauguration of their exclusive dealership in Dubai.

Hero had recently revamped its domestic portfolio, apparently eyeing more sales during the festive season. The range now has more appealing versions of the like of XTreme 160R Stealth edition, XPulse 200 4V and Pleasure+ XTec.
