The Honda Hornet 2.0 is the manufacturer’s answer to the growing demand for 180-200cc streetfighters!
Not sure if I should be saying that Honda has launched an all-new sub 200cc streetfighter in the country or that the familiar Honda Hornet brand has just grown in size, anyways, say hello to Honda Hornet 2.0! Honda has launched this 180cc motorcycle in the country at a price of INR 1.26 lakh. The Hornet had amassed much respect for its design in its 160cc guise itself. Things have only gotten better in the Hornet 2.0.
The Hornet 2.0 has a highly flamboyant design that speaks agility! Designed as an international streetfighter, the Hornet 2.0 gets modern-day design elements like an all-around LED lighting package and a highly aerodynamic design. The bike also gets a sporty split seat and ‘Key On Tank’ placement for added comfort and rider convenience. There are also a short muffler, new alloy wheels, and alloy footpegs to add to the aesthetic appeal. You can have this bike in four different colors as well.
In terms of kit, Hornet 2020 gets what Honda calls a Fully Digital Negative Liquid Crystal Meter cluster that displays all the essential information, Hazard switch, and an engine stop switch too.
The key change on the technical front is the new 184 cc PGM-FI HET engine that is BS6 compliant and has a piston cooling jet integrated into it. This unit is claimed to provide class-leading mid-range torque. The bike also has wider tyres, dual petal disc brakes and for the first time in the sub 200cc segment, a pair of golden USD forks at the front.
