Hyundai Aura Compact Sedan Launched In India, Here Is Everything You Need To Know!

The compact sedan game in India gets hotter with the Hyundai Aura launch here…

Compact sedans find a fair number of takers in the Indian market. All key players have offerings in this segment, the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Honda Amaze, Ford Aspire and Tata Tigor to name a few. Hyundai Xcent was HMIL’s answer to the increasing call for sub-four-metre sedans. But for some reason, the Xcent could not sell as many units as the Maruti Suzuki Dzire or the Amaze did. The car, in the later phase, had even gotten itself confined to the fleet segment.

The Xcent was based on the Grand i10. Recently, the manufacturer discontinued the Grand i10 following the market debut of the new Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS. Now, Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has brought in the Hyundai Aura as an apt replacement for the Xcent. The Aura is essentially the sedan guise of Grand i10 NIOS.

Design

The Aura looks highly flamboyant from all angles. The front looks similar to the Grand i10 NIOS. There are a pair of beautifully designed LED Daytime Running Lamps and a stylish front grille. The fog lamps and their housings both look pretty fair.

The side profile looks quite proportioned and fair, except for the blackened C pillar. The alloy wheels look stylish too. The rear gets Z shaped LED tail lamps and chrome garnished tailgate.

Hyundai Aura is 3995mm in length, 1680mm wide and 1520mm high. It has a wheelbase of 2450mm and a boot space of 402 litres. There are six different colour options available to choose from.
