Massive gain in traction for the Carens!

Kia India delivered impressive H1 performance in 2022, with its new-to-the-game Carens MPV rising to acceptance. In a time when the 7-seater game is heating up, the Carens has battled its way to the second spot in sales, beating the mighty Innova Crysta in H1 numbers! Maruti Ertiga was the most sold MPV in the first half of the year, and the Carens slotted in comfortably at the second spot, recording sales of 30,953 units.

Between January and June 2022, Toyota Innova Crysta sales stood at 30,551 units, a nip under the Korean’s. Kia’s MPV has recently been rising to immense popularity in the country. It had tallied sales of 7,895 units in June alone. When compared to the Crysta, which sold 6,795 units over the same period, the Carens performed significantly better, selling 1,100 extra units!

The Carens was introduced in India in mid-February, 2022, picking up the fight against a wide range of seven-seaters. The available trim levels include Premium, Prestige, Prestige Plus, Luxury, and Luxury Plus. It is available in two seating options: six and seven and is powered by 1.5-liter petrol, 1.5-liter diesel, and 1.4-liter turbocharged petrol engines.
