Auto Shanghai 2021 witnessed the public display of Lamborghini Essenza SCV12, Chinese debut of Huracan STO, and Huracan EVO Fluo Capsule

Automobili Lamborghini celebrated three key premieres at the 2021 Shanghai Auto Show. Of all the models showcased, the Italian carmaker’s hyper car Essenza SCV12 stole the show with its breath taking design and jaw-dropping specifications. Besides the Essenza, the supercar maker also showcased the Huracan STO, Huracan EVO Fluo Capsule and the Urus. Adhering strictly to the pandemic and the associated travel restrictions, Lamborghini boss man and the other key leadership chose to attend the largest auto expo in China via video.

Lamborghini Essenza SCV12

The Essenza SCV12 is a track-only hypercar from the manufacturer that was launched virtually in 2020. The highly exclusive Essenza SCV12, with its production limited to just 40 units, made its first-ever public appearance at Auto Shanghai this year. The showcar had a stunning Verde Selvans, Grigio Linx, Nero Aldebaran Gloss and Arancio California launch livery.

The Essenza compiles Squadra Course’s years of motorsport experience into one jaw-dropping, speed-savvy package. Lamborghini claims it to offer the ultimate driving experience. Complimenting its thirst for speed is the highly aerodynamic and futuristic design, lightweight construction, and the mighty V12.

Lamborghini Essenza SCV12 could be called the direct descendent of iconic machines like the Miura Jota and the Diablo GTR. It draws its power from a mighty V12, which is by far, the most powerful NA engine that Lamborghini has manufactured till date. With over 830hp on offer, the Essenza SCV12 also gets benefited from the RAM effect at high speeds. The car gets a X-trac sequential six speed transmission and RWD.

The Lamborghini Essenza SCV12 gets a large rear wing, side fins and front splitters inspired by the Huracan Super Trofeo EVO and GT3 EVO, to ensure the maximum aerodynamic efficiency. In fact, the Essenza is claimed to have more downforce than a GT3 car! The Essenza also has exceptional power-to-weight ratio due to its new-age CF monocoque construction without an internal rollcage.

Owning the absolutely track-bred Essenza SCV12 would lend you access to some of the most prestigious circuits around the world where you could enjoy track days driving your Essenza on the tracks.

Lamborghini Huracan STO

The Huracan STO is a track machine for the roads. With true race car genes gone into it, the STO is a true reflection of the Squadra Course lineage. It is powered by a V10 that lets out 640hp and 565Nm, bringing in a 0-100 km/h time of 3.0 seconds! Some engineering has also been done as to provide faster shift times to the car. The Huracan STO scores high on the aerodynamic front as well, with many track-spec parts gone into its design to bring about more downforce and better manners.

The car gets a front splitter, and louvers on the front wheelhouses; rear fender with NACA air intake; rear engine bonnet with air scoop and an integrated shark fin; and a manually adjustable rear wing. Extensive use of CF on the exteriors means immense reduction in the overall weight of the machine. The Brembo CCM-R brakes used have F1 genes in them. The Huracan STO could be further personalized through the Lamborghini Ad Personam program.

Lamborghini Huracan EVO Fluo Capsule

The Shanghai Auto Show 2021 also saw the Asia-Pacific’s first showcasing of the Lamborghini Huracan EVO Fluo Capsule. The Huracan EVO Fluo Capsule essentially means a set of bold and bright Matte colours for the supercar, with associated trim upgrades on the interior.

The show car was presented in the Verde Shock (Green) shade. Besides this, there are four other paint schemes as part of the package as well-Arancio Livrea (orange), Celeste Fedra (blue), Arancio Dac (orange) and Giallo Clarus (yellow). The car was showcased inside the exclusive Ad Personam room at the Lamborghini stand.
