The Land Rover Defender will be brought to India via the CBU route
Land Rover is all set to launch the 2020 Defender in India tomorrow (15th Oct). To be offered in both the 90 and 110 guises, the new Defender would have 5 different variants in each. The SUV will be extremely capable and would also have a plethora of customizable seating options and accessory packs.
The LR Defender has a lineage of over 70years and is a proven off roader. The vehicle would be powered by a 2.0 L Ingenium petrol engine capable of putting out 292 hp and 400Nm. Land Rover is now taking in bookings for the Defender quoting a starting price of INR 69.99 lakh for the 110 guise. The 3 door Defender 90 is hoped to come on a later date. The vehicle comes to our shores as Completely Built Units (CBU)
