A new Thar Roxx teaser has now gone live on YT

Mahindra is preparing to launch the 5-door Thar aka Mahindra Thar Roxx in India on August 15, 2024. There has been much buzz around the SUV on the internet lately. Now the manufacturer has released a new teaser video that shows the Thar Roxx undisguised. This is the first time Mahindra has officially shed light on the vehicle’s design cues. However, some design details remain unclear even in the video.

The manufacturer had previously released a teaser to build strong anticipation for further details. The video instantly rose to acceptance. The newest teaser reveals key design details of the upcoming Thar Roxx. It shows the front fascia, headlamps, chunky wheel arches, bumpers, and a quick glimpse of the side profile, newly added rear doors and the grille.

Mahindra Thar Roxx Teaser Impressions

The new teaser reveals a few key design details of the 5-door Thar Roxx. The SUV would get no radical design departure from the 3 door Mahindra Thar. There will be changes and revisions in the headlamp design, grille, wheel arches, mirrors, door hinges and silhouette while it still looks unmistakably a Thar. Mahindra Thar Roxx Expected Features

The Thar Roxx will have a more upmarket cabin design and loads of features. Expect a 360-degree camera, 10.25-inch floating touchscreen, wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto, all-digital instrumentation, automatic climate control etc. There will also be a panoramic sunroof on offer.

Mahindra Thar Roxx Expected Powertrains

The Thar 5 door could come with 3 powertrain choices- 1.5 diesel, 2.2 diesel and 2.0 turbo petrol. 6MT and 6AT transmissions are expected. There will be both 4WD and RWD versions and a handful of trims. Competing with the Suzuki Jimny and Force Gurkha 5 door, this SUV could be priced from Rs 16 lakh, ex-sh. We’ll have to wait till the launch to know more about this.
