MG eXpert is powered by Eccentric Engines’ experience manager tool
MG Motor India has launched an AR-based car exploration platform for their customers to explore MG cars from the comfort of their homes. MG hopes the platform to mimic the entire showroom experience virtually. The move comes in as a response to the rocketing engagement in the virtual car exploration space, originally triggered by the pandemic.
The car exploration platform is christened ‘MG eXpert’ and makes extensive use of AR and AI to provide the users with in-depth experiences of the car models. It can be used to explore the exterior and interior designs and visual appeal of the cars to impressive extents. MG claims it to deliver a seamless experience to the user, and from what we’ve experienced, we wouldn’t disagree. The customers can spectate, examine the details and customize their cars using MG eXpert. The platform also hosts options for getting the financing and test drive bookings done as well. It is thus a one-stop spot for the entire car-buying exercise.
Morris Garages has partnered with AI and AR experts- Eccentric Engines to design and develop this platform. Eccentric Engines, if you might remember, owns extensive experience and expertise in developing car exploration and configuration tools. The tech company had previously developed the state-of-the-art 3D car configurator for Citroen India. MG eXpert will roll out throughout the country by the end of Q2, 2022.
In other news, MG Motor India is gearing up to launch the 2022 ZS EV facelift in the country, later this month. The bookings for the electric car are already open. The new platform and the convenience it offers, are hoped to escalate things further for MG, upon the launch.
