Are you in search of a perfect boisterous macho to adorn your garage? Well then, here is what you’ve been waiting for – The Porsche Cayenne Coupe. Porsche India has brought down this beast in two variants – The Cayenne Coupe and the Cayenne Turbo Coupe for the Indian market.

“We are delighted to unveil the Cayenne Coupe for the first time here in India. A truly worthy addition, this model offers the option of an extra sporty variant within our SUV range. The Cayenne Coupe also reinforces the evolutionary approach Porsche takes to developing its sports cars for the new era.

Inheriting the same technical capabilities implemented in the third-generation Cayenne, alongside a sharpened design, the Cayenne Coupe is more progressive, athletic, and emotional in its own right. I have no doubt that this impressive model will generate interest amongst current Porsche owners and enthusiasts alike.” said Mr Pavan Shetty, Director – Porsche India at the launch event held by the Porsche Centre Delhi at its new showroom in Gurugram.

Porsche Cayenne Coupe 2020

The physique of Cayenne Coupe is unquestionably athletic yet suave, even though the mechanical attributes go hand in hand with the standard Cayenne. Except for the front end, with a similar but slimmer windshield and A-pillar than the Cayenne and the Porsche-ish four-dot LED DRLs, the Cayenne Coupe is a completely reformed machine.

The roofline flawlessly raked and steep together with the vamped up rear doors and wings to broaden the shoulders by 18 millimetres, the Coupe has the demeanour of the hottest man in town. The sporty roofline has made the Coupe shorter by 43 mm which is offset by a lowered rear seat height for a better headspace. The number plate on the rear merged to the bumper, makes the Coupe manifest itself to be closer to the ground.

As a part of the Porsche Active Aerodynamics, the Cayenne Coupe comes with a new adaptive rear spoiler along with the roof spoiler, on the vehicle silhouette to extend 135 mm at 90km/h or above and is claimed to increase the downforce on the rear axle and hence improve the vehicle stability and dynamics by a fair bit. Porsche offers a contoured carbon roof as well on the new Coupe, although a 2.16 m2 panoramic fixed glass roof is standard.

As we move into the cabin, Porsche has neatly and extravagantly furnished the Coupe with supremely classy carbon and Alcantara, electrically-adjustable sport seats with integrated headrests and 2×2 configuration at the rear, with a storage compartment in the middle and a boot space of 625 L.

The Coupe is equipped with the Porsche Advanced Cockpit, an instrument cluster with two 17.78 cm (7”) full-HD display, manageable via the multifunction steering wheel and a 31.2 cm (12.3”) full-HD touchscreen infotainment system, much the same as the regular Cayenne itself. So as to offer you a drive with all the mandatory comfort and ease, all the Coupe models are manufactured with 50.8 cm (20”) wheels, Power Steering Plus and Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) as standard.

The Coupé models are provided with turbocharged engines similar to their ‘regular’ sibling but with an additional Sport Chrono Package to enhance the power further, mated to an eight-speed automatic Tiptronic S transmission gearbox.

The Cayenne Coupe engine is essentially a three-litre V6 turbo mill with an output of 340 hp and a peak torque of 450 Nm, making the car sprint to speeds up to 243 km/h. The Cayenne coupe will leave you jaw-dropped by accelerating to a 100km/h speed in just 6.0 seconds.

And for the Cayenne Coupe Turbo, with a top speed of 286km/h, a power of 550 hp and a 770 Nm peak torque churned by the four-litre twin-turbo V8 heart, the vehicle will take your breath away by hitting the 100 kph mark in just 3.9 seconds.
