Royal Enfield Meteor 350 Details Leaked!

The Royal Enfield Meteor will replace the RE Thunderbird and Thunderbird X 350

Royal Enfield is gearing up for a comprehensive revamp of its range. The manufacturer is planning to launch its next-gen products under the all new UCE 350 range. The first of these would come in the form of the Meteor 350, that is hoped to replace the Thunderbird 350 and Thunderbird X 350 in the market.

The Royal Enfield Meteor will have an air of freshness to it, thanks to the all-new engine and platform. It is hoped that RE would launch this bike in India sometime towards the end of September. So here is what we know of this bike so far:

The Meteor 350 will have three different variants viz Fireball, Stellar and Supernova, which stay differentiated from each other in terms of kit and components. The Fireball will have a lot of black in its design and a single colour fuel tank. This variant will resemble the Thunderbird X the most and will have coloured rim tape as well. The Stellar would have chromed handlebar, premium badges and a backrest. The top-of-the-line Supernova will have dual-tone colour scheme, windscreen and a lot of chrome on it.

The list of standard equipment on the trio includes the likes of a dual-pod semi digital instrument console with BlueTooth connectivity, a detailed rider information display, etc.

The Meteor will run on 19inch front and 17 inch rear wheels shoed with Ceat and Ace rubber and will get a 350 cc engine which has an overhead cam in place of the push-rod setup of the older unit. This is hoped to reduce vibrations drastically and also give a boost to the power and torque figures. The Meteor 350 will have the same 5-speed transmission unit from the Thunderbird. The bike will go against the likes of the Jawa and Bajaj Dominar 400 in terms of pricing. We expect a tag of INR 1.65 lakh.
