How can India’s favorite EV brand not take part in this great initiative towards a greener Earth?
Yes, the world is just about to witness the birth of another special ‘DAY’. A day that motivates the people around to urge for a greener Earth, the World EV Day is to debut on the 9th of September this year. From now on, the day will encourage current and prospective drivers of electric vehicles across the country. The use of electric mobility in the local transport and fleet sectors will also be promoted.
What’s even more interesting is that Tata Motors is one of the founding partners of the #WorldEVDay movement, launched through an association with the Swedish firm ABB and sustainability media company Green TV. How can India’s most sought after EV brand not be a part of this great move towards a greener future? The Nexon EV from Tata Motors currently ranks amongst the most-sold electric cars in India. Besides launching this state of the art product, Tata Motors has also had its mark made in developing a proper EV ecosystem in our country. The ‘Tata UniEVerse’ program strongly makes use of the strengths and reach of all Tata Group companies in creating a well laid out EV ecosystem.
“India has seen a significant rise in the momentum towards EVs in the past several months and we at Tata Motors are proud to be one of the frontrunners in driving EVs adoption here. We are not only offering aspirational and accessible electric vehicles, but are also creating a holistic e-Mobility ecosystem that addresses barriers to EV adoption. We are delighted to join this global #WorldEVDay movement to propagate the dynamic role e-mobility plays in a sustainable and zero emission future”
Mr. Shailesh Chandra, President, Passenger Vehicle Business Unit, Tata Motors
The concept of World EV Day is quite interesting as such. It turns out that the other partners are quite excited to join hands with Tata Motors in this venture.
“World EV Day is a global movement that will really turn the dial on sustainable mobility and we are delighted to be partnering with Tata Motors who has been at the forefront of this evolution in India. World EV Day aims to celebrate e-mobility solutions across the globe and will also look to address the wider role of climate change and air quality.”
