Skoda India To Hike Prices In 2022

Skoda cars will get more expensive in a month!

Following the suit of several other carmakers, Skoda India has announced that its models would become more expensive from January 1, 2022. Skoda has decided to hike up to 3% on the prices of its entire lineup. Volkswagen-owned Skoda sells in India, models including Kushaq, Octavia, and Superb. The manufacturer is blaming rising input costs and increased operational costs for the proposed price hike.

Skoda’s announcement of price revision comes in the same week when a few other manufacturers including Maruti Suzuki made similar announcements.

Earlier this month, Skoda Auto India had announced the start of production of all new KODIAQ in its plant in Aurangabad. The Czech manufacturer has recently been having a good time in India. This year the company posted a 108% rise in its year-on-year sale. In November alone, it delivered 2300 units of KUSHAQ, the new mid-size SUV, developed under India 2.0 Project. The next big launch for the Czech marque would be the upcoming Slavia.
