Skoda India had recently launched the Rapid Rider Plus in India at a very competitive price. Here’s more about it
It’s been a while since the very basic Skoda Rapid Rider went on sale in India. The baby Rapid has been amassing HUGE number of bookings eversince. In fact, due to the humongous bookings flowing in, Skoda had recently paused taking in further bookings for the Rider. Apparently boosted by these, the carmaker has now introduced a higher trim to the Rider, dubbed Rapid Rider Plus. The Rider Plus comes in at a price premium of around INR 50000 over the regular Rider and is priced at INR 7.99 lakh ( ex.showroom, pan India).
Think of the Skoda Rapid Rider Plus as a beefed up cousin of the regular Rider. It gets more prnounced style, comfort and safety features. The Rapid Rider Plus looks absolutely Skoda with the signature butterfly grille having black vertical slats, blacked out B pillars, chrome-clad windowline, black body decals and trunk lid garnish. The cabin gets a two tone ebony sand theme and a few equipment additions.
The 16.51cm touchscreen infotainment system gets MirrorLink, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, smartphone integration etc. The car also gets dual AC vents, a height-adjustable steering wheel with mounted control, etc. Safety sees no compromise on the Rapid Rider Plus despite its price tag. The car gets rear parking sensors, anti-glare rearview mirror, rear defogger with timer, rough road package, engine immobilizer, etc.
The Skoda Rapid Rider Plus also comes powered by the 1.0L TSI petrol engine from Volkswagen Group that puts out 110 hp and 175Nm. So, would you buy one?
