Suzuki Motorcycles apparently has a decent hike in sales this time around…
Suzuki Motorcycles India Limited (SMIL) records a commendable YOY growth of 3.5% in February 2020. The motorcycle maker sold 58,644 units in the domestic market this February against the 57,174 of Feb 2019.
SMIL had had some key launches in the year that passed by and these do reflect in the sales figures. The YOY sales numbers tip the scales at around 67,961 units (Domestic and exports combined) in Feb 2020. The maker had managed to sell a mere 65,630 units in February last year. Thus there has been a decent hike in sales this time around for Suzuki Motorcycles India.
Talking about the Cumulative sales figures, SMIL has sold around 7,49,755 units during the time spanning from April 2019 to February 2020. Suzuki had recently launched the BS6 range of their product lineup as well.
Commenting on the sales performance, Mr. Koichiro Hirao, Managing Director, Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. said, “Inching closer to the end of the current fiscal year, we are happy with our sustained growth momentum. February was an eventful month for Suzuki Motorcycle India as we unveiled BS6 compliant product portfolio at the Auto Expo 2020 that received much love from the automobile enthusiasts. Furthermore, we commenced the sale of BS6 compliant BURGMAN STREET from the dealerships. We are confident that the new product launches will propel our sales growth in the Indian market.”
