Specifications: Battery And Range
Tata Curvv EV is available with two different battery packs- 45kWh and 55kWh. The smaller battery comes on the Creative, Accomplished and Accomplished+ S trims. The Accomplished, Accomplished+ S, Empowered+, and Empowered+ A variants can be had with the 55 kWh battery, which also happens to be the biggest on any made-in-India EV.
The 45kWh battery pack delivers a range of 502 km under the MIDC standards, whereas the 55kWh battery pack can cover up to 585 km on a full charge. Under its C75 standard, Tata claims the 55 KWh battery to return realistic range figures of 400-425km and the smaller unit to deliver 330-350km.
The 55kWh models feature a 167hp electric motor mounted on the front axle, whereas the 45kWh models are equipped with a 150hp motor; both produce 215Nm of torque.
Curvv EV 55 accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in an estimated 8.6 seconds and has a max speed of 160 km/h. Meanwhile, the 45kWh version is said to complete the same sprint in 9 seconds. Tata claims the battery can charge up to 150km range in 15 minutes and reach 10-80% charge in 40 minutes over a 70kW charger.
