Tata Motors readies refrigerated trucks across its range for use in vaccine transportation…
The Covid-19 vaccination has begun in the country. The pan-India vaccination plans call for proactive and effective transportation of the vaccine across the country. Tata Motors, the biggest player in India’s CV space, now has reefer trucks on offer for the vaccination drive. Refrigerated versions are available across its SCV, M&HCV range.
These refrigerated trucks are all designed and engineered as per the government guidelines. The temperature, volume and weight requirements mandated for vaccine carriers have all been met in these trucks. Tata reefer trucks for vaccine drive are available in various tonnages and capacities (20 cuM in ICV, 32 cuM in MCV) Tata Motors is also offering insulated vaccine vans for the drive, in the ICV and MCV segments. These vans would be ideal for last-mile and rural distribution of vaccines. These trucks and insulated vaccine vans are available for purchase on the Government e-Marketplace portal
Tata Motors has partnered with a leading reefer manufacturer to manufacture these products. However, regular Tata reefer trucks have been in business for a long time, targetted primarily at the cold chain customers.
