Available in two distinct trims, the XPRES T EV come exclusively as a commercial vehicle
It was not long ago that Tata Motors launched their electric commercial vehicle sub-brand ‘XPRES’ in the country. The first product of the vertical, the XPRES T has now been officially launched in India. The XPRES T is based on the Tigor or could be even called a toned-down version of the recently launched Tigor EV. (You might remember us doing a detailed review of this car). The XPRES T EV is only available as a commercial vehicle and has its prices start at Rs 9.54 lakh. The car has a total of 4 different variants, spread across two trim levels- XPRES T 165 and XPRES T 213.
The XPRES T EV is available with two different battery packs of varying capacities. The smaller 16.5 kWh battery on the T 165 would give an approx range of 165 kilometers while the larger 21.5 kWh unit on the Xpres T 213 offers up to 213 kilometers for every charge. Both these battery packs support DC fast charging and wall-socket AC charging.
The basic design remains similar to that of the Tigor EV. The Xpres T gets premium Black interiors with Blue accents but stands low on features and tech-gizmos, compared to the Tigor EV. It, however, comes with ABS, EBD as standard offerings and claims to offer greater profits to the fleet owners.

The FAME 2 policy and recent subsidies from the government have facilitated the competitive pricing of the Xpres T. Besides these, the vehicle will be also eligible for state-specific subsidies and concessions, if any.
