Kerala-based startup GO EC is actively building EV charging ecosystem in India.
It currently has 103 live DC chargers in India. 70 of these are in Kerala, and 33 in other states.
GO EC recently announced its plans of aggressive expansion, across India.
It will set up 1000 new EV charging points. The project will be completed within a year.
500 of the upcoming GO EC chargers will be 30kW units while the rest will be more powerful 60 kW units.
These DC superfast chargers will have CCS2 guns.
GO EC charging stations will also have AC points for electric two wheelers.
The new chargers will be set up at strategic locations- along highways, shopping malls, capitals, restaurants etc.
GO EC plans to penetrate into Tier 2, Tier 3 and rural markets.
The company also has plans of attaining self-reliance in power, through its wind-farms in Palakkad.
In the time ahead, GO EC would expand to international markets including UAE, and could also launch EV conversion kits in the domestic market.
