Maruti Fronx-based Toyota Taisor launched in India!

Taisor becomes the sixth model to be shared between Maruti and Toyota.

Toyota has launched its new B2-segment SUV in India, dubbed Toyota Taisor. The product is priced in the 7.73- 13.03 lakh range.

The Taisor is based on Maruti Fronx, and is the sixth model to be shared between Toyota and Maruti.

The Toyota version gets no major deviation from the Fronx we know, except for a few styling tweaks.

Interesting to note that Toyota has kept the 'Urban Cruiser' tag in the name, to loop this product into the brand's 'SUV' line.

The Taisor comes with a revised front fascia, tweaked rear styling, and a new set of 16-inch alloy wheels.

Toyota Taisor in available in five monotone and three dual-tone colours, including the signature Lucent Orange.

Engine options remain unchanged. It comes with 1.2-litre petrol, 1.0L turbo petrol, and CNG powertrains. Outputs are the same as the Suzuki counterpart. 5-speed manual, AMT, and 6-speed automatic transmissions are available.

Toyota hasn't tweaked the cabin styling or feature list either. The interior gets Black and Brown upholstery, with no major change from the Fronx.

The feature list includes a 9 inch touchscreen with wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, head up display, 360 degree camera, automatic climate control, automatic headlamps, and more.

In the Indian market, the Taisor will battle the likes of Nissan Magnite, Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Renault Kiger, and most importantly the Fronx!
