2 Upcoming Yamaha Bikes In India In 2023: Updated MT15 And FZ-X Coming Your Way!

Both the motorcycles, that are currently on sale, will undergo significant changes

Yamaha is likely to launch the OBD 2 regulated updated version of the MT15 soon. More stringent emission standards are due this April and manufacturers are updating their vehicles in order to meet the norms. 2023 Activa 6G with such an update was released earlier this week. The new MT15 V2 will come with slight changes in order to comply with the BSVI Stage 2. No other major updates are expected, but the prices could go slightly up.

The MT-15 comes with a 155 single-cylinder liquid-cooled VVA engine, putting out 18.1 bhp and 14.1 Nm. The powertrain is mated to a 6-speed transmission. The feature-rich two-wheeler is equipped with USD front forks, a dual-channel ABS system, digital instrument cluster, LED lighting unit, etc. The current version of the MT 15 is priced from Rs. 1.64 lakh (ex-showroom). The updated version of the FZ-X will also be launched with the MT 15. The major changes in the 2023 FZ -X are the metal frame connecting the headlamp and the fuel tank, similar to the RE Himalayan, new front fender, new windscreen for improved stability, etc. 2023 FZ -X will retain the 149 cc single-cylinder engine, producing 12.2 bhp and 13.3 Nm, mated to a five-speed transmission. The bike will comply with the OBD 2 regulations. No other significant changes are expected in the update.

The FZ -X carries features like Bluetooth connectivity, telescopic front forks, tubeless tyre, etc. The FZ -X is currently available with single-channel ABS only, and a dual-channel system is expected soon. The alloy wheels in the front and the rear will be painted in a golden colour. The current version is priced at Rs. 1.36 lakh (ex-showroom) and it will go slightly up with the update.
