The luxury van bears a price tag of 68.40-81.90 lakh INR!
After the CLS Coupe, Mercedes Benz India has now launched another significant model in India- the 2019 Mercedes Benz V Class, a multi-purpose vehicle for the well-off! The V Class will come in both long wheelbase (Exclusive) and extra long wheelbase (Expression) versions, having the ability to seat 6 and 7 people respectively. The vehicle spearheads a new segment in the Indian automotive industry, that of luxury MPVs.
With 2019 being the carmaker’s 25th year of sales and after-sales excellence in India, the time can get no better for them to explore the unexplored trails of the market with the V class. The Mercedes Benz V Class serves one for sure, with the highest standards of passenger car and the supreme functionality of an MPV. The van can be adapted to market and customer-specific demands owing to its wide range of equipment options.
The V Class is produced at the Mercedes Benz Victoria plant in the Spanish Basque country, where Daimler AG had recently invested around 190 million euros in order to modernize and reorganize the body shop, paint shop and assembly line for the production of the new model series, and reaches India as CBU units. The V Class is currently sold in over 90 countries.
Keeping well with the carmaker’s fast print towards BS VI compliance, the V class (V220 d) hosts a 2.0 L, 2143cc, BS VI compliant mill under its hood, that gives out a healthy 120 kW and 380 Nm.0-60mph comes in 10.9 seconds. Comfort and convenience equipment on offer include THERMOTRONIC 2 Zone Automatic AC with dedicated Rear AC control units and a Touchpad with handwriting recognition There are also a bunch of safety tech onboard like 6 airbags, Attention Assist, Active Parking Assist with a 360-degree camera and Mercedes Benz’s own PRE-SAFE.
The Star Ease maintenance packages for the V 220 d starts at Rs.1,48,700 for 2 year/30,000 km. The price of the V Class Expression starts at INR 68.40 lakhs and that of V class s Exclusive, at INR 81.90 lakhs (Ex.showroom, India).
