Ducati Diavel 1260 has made a comeback into the BS6 era as the 2021 model has been launched from INR 18.49 lakh. The 2021 Diavel 1620 comes in two variants-Standard priced at 18.49 lakh and S priced at 21.49 lakh. As evident, the Diavel S is now pricer by over a lakh rupees.

The overall design of the bike remains unchanged on the new model year update as well. The beefy front forks, exposed Trellis frame, and sculpted fuel tank have all been carried forward. The standard gets just a Black paint scheme while the Diavel S can be had in Black or in Ducati Red.

It retains the much adored ‘Power Cruiser’ riding position and most of the electronics, the latter however, with notable improvements. The 2021 Diavel has improved riding modes, 6 axis Bosch IMU, Cornering ABS, Ducati Traction Control, wheelie control, and launch control among many others. A catchy TFT unit functions as the instrumentation display and the Ducati Multimedia System allows you easy multimedia access via Bluetooth.

The biggest change on the BS6 Diavel, however, is underpinned by a reworked tubular steel Trellis frame attached to an Aluminium swingarm and revisited suspensions. Plus, the 1262 cc Ducati Testastretta DVT engine now has reduced emissions, complying to the BS6 standards. On a more interesting note, the BS6 transition has awarded an additional 3 hp of power to it while the torque remains unchanged. The overall output now is 162 hp and 129 Nm.

The 6-speed transmission now gets two-way quick shifters as standard. At 249 kg, the 2021 Diavel is 5 kilograms heavier than the BS4 bike. The Diavel S, however, has shed 2 kilograms and currently weighs 247 kilos! Additionally, the 2021 Diavel S features more enthusing, fully adjustable Ohlins 48mm front forks and rear shocks.
