The ‘Made in Indonesia’ Ninja ZX25R will be available only in selected markets outside Indonesia.
Kawasaki had given the Ninja ZX25R a global market debut in July 2020. Since then it has been having great traction globally. Now, the ‘most powerful 250cc sports bike’ has got a model year update, confined mostly to a bunch of new colors. For now, the made-in-Indonesia model, will be available only in selected international markets.
Kawasaki ZX-25R is equally appreciated as a mini sports bike and a daily commuter, in the global motorcycle space. This quarter-liter motorcycle is available in two different variants- Standard and Special Edition. The Standard trim comes finished in Metallic Spark Black alone. The Special Edition trim, however, comes with 3 color schemes to choose from- Lime Green/Pearl Blizzard White, Mettalic Graphane Steel Gray and Passion Red/Pearl Blizzard White.
No changes have been made to the ZX-25R for 2021, other than the updated colour palette. The Indonesia prices of 2021 NInja ZX-25R stand at IDR 98,850,000 (approx. 5.10 lakh INR) for the standard trim and IDR 116,000,000 (approx. 6 lakh INR) for Special Edition featuring dual channel ABS.
ZX-25R features an inline 4, liquid-cooled, 250cc engine, which produces 51 bhp at 15,500rpm and 22.9 Nm at 14,500rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox with assist and slipper clutch. 37mm USD forks from Showa with Separated Fork-Big Piston and a rear backlink gas-charged shock absorber handle the suspension duties.
The front-wheel gets a 310mm radially mounted, 4 piston, single disc brake while the rear gets a 220mm single caliper unit. The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R also gets traction control, bi-directional quick-shifter, electronic throttle valves, and power modes. It has a net weight of 182 kilograms (notably heavier than the Ninja 300 and 400) and a seat height of 785mm.
