The Next-Gen Hector gets a bigger Argyle-inspired Diamond mesh grille, split LED headlamps, minor tweaks to the bumper to accommodate the new front grille, new connected LED taillamps and redesigned rear bumper with angular creases. The side profile remains identical to the pre-facelift model, including the wheel design.
On the inside, the biggest and most eye-popping change is the portrait-style central infotainment touchscreen that’s now 4 inches bigger than the one on the outgoing model. The Next-Gen Hector features a 14.0in Full HD screen. The screen continues to perform all the functions that it did on the pre-facelift model, but now MG has also added the Assistant Feature which works via a set of voice commands.
The refreshed Hector also gets a 360-degree camera which appears clearer than ever and can be switched to 3D mode as well. Another major addition to the refreshed Hector is the ADAS functions, which include adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, lane keep assist, pedestrian detection, bend cruise assistance, traffic jam assist, etc.
A fully digital instrument cluster, additional soft-touch materials in the cabin, new choices for the interior trim, redesigned cup holder, and an electric parking button are the other changes.

The Hector continues with the same 1.5L petrol and 2.0L diesel engines, however, the former doesn’t get the mild hybrid technology that was offered earlier. The petrol engine can be mated to a 5-speed manual or a CVT gearbox, while the diesel engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual.
MG is expected to commence the customer deliveries of the pre-booked units soon. MG Motor India is also showcasing the eHS PHEV and the MG 4 electric on the first day of the 2023 Auto Expo
