Bajaj has silently rolled out price hikes for its flagship- Dominar 400 and slashed massive chunks off the Dominar 250’s ex-showroom tag. Dominar 400 has become expensive by Rs 8,555 and the Dominar 250 is now a massive Rs 16,800 cheaper! D400 is now priced at Rs 2.11 lakh, while the 250 costs just Rs.1.54 lakh, ex-sh.
Bajaj had launched the flagship Dominar 400 in 2016 and since then it has been witnessing commendable market traction. The 250cc version, dubbed Dominar 250, was also warmly embraced by fans across the nation, upon its launch here.
Bajaj Dominar 400: What To Know About It?
The price hike for Dominar 400 comes in with absolutely no external or internal changes being implemented on the motorcycle. Based on a perimeter frame, Dominar 400 comes with a cast aluminium swingarm and uses 43mm upside-down forks. For its braking, the D400 uses 320mm discs at the front and 230mm at the rear. It rides on 17 in wheels with 110 section rubber at the front and 150-section at the rear
Dominar 400 uses a 373.3 cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine with triple spark plug technology, that produces a peak power of 40 PS and max torque of 35 nm. The transmission is a 6-speed unit with slipper clutch. D400 is available in the shades of Aurora Green and Vine Black.
Bajaj Dominar 250: What To Know About It?
The Dominar 250 however, is now significantly cheaper than the D400. Just like the bigger Dominar, the 250 is also based on the same perimeter frame and comes with 300 mm discs at the front and 230 mm rear units. The wheel size remains the same. The tyre sizes, however, are, 100-section at the front and 130-section at the rear. Dominar 250 uses a box-section type swingarm and 37 mm upside-down front forks. The bike is powered by a 248.77 cc single-cylinder engine with twin spark plugs and electronic fuel injection. The power and torque outputs are 27 PS and 23.5 nm respectively. The bike gets a 6-speed gearbox with slipper clutch. The baby Dominar is available in Charcoal Black and Canyon Red colours.
With this silent price drop, Dominar 250 has become considerably affordable and even more value for money.
