Land Rover Defender 90 bears a base price tag of Rs 76.57 lakh in India
Jaguar Land Rover India has started the sales of Defender 90 in the country. The short wheelbase SUV is priced at Rs 76.57 lakh, as was originally revealed at the time of the all-new Defender’s India debut in October 2020. Even though the bookings for the Defender 90 too had started back then, it is now that the carmaker has commenced the deliveries of the car.
The Defender 90 is a capable six-seater, often referred to as the toughest modern-day off-roader from Land Rover. It gets optional jump seats at the front and a rear bench that can seat three. The Defender 90 is available as Defender, X-Dynamic, and Defender X. The Defender and X Dynamic come in S, SE and HSE trim levels.
At 4,583mm, the overall length of the Defender 90 is 435mm less than that of the Defender 110, the wheelbase is also down by fair bits. The 3 door Defender comes feature-packed and has the likes of the latest generation Pivi Pro infotainment system, support for OTA updates, and more. Land Rover is also offering an extensive array of accessories and add-ons for the SUV.
Defender 90 Specifications
There are three different engines on offer on the all-new Defender 90- 2.0L turbocharged petrol producing 300hp and 400 Nm, 3.0L six-cylinder, turbo petrol with 400 hp and 550 Nm, and a 3.0L six-cylinder diesel unit churning out 300 hp and 650 Nm. An 8-speed automatic unit is the only available transmission and all the vehicles get 4WD as well. The Defender 90, much like the 110, comes with JLR’s Terrain Response 2, further enhancing its offroad capabilities.
