Citroen Basalt Details

Now, if you’ve seen the C3 Aircross, you might be thinking, “Hey, this looks familiar.” And you’d be right, kind of. But the Basalt’s got its own thing going on. That roof? It’s got better curves than a rollercoaster. And get this – they’ve finally slapped some projector headlights on it. Took ’em long enough, right?

Jump inside, and it’s like déjà vu… but better. They’ve jazzed up the dashboard with a climate control system. Oh, and the back seats? They’ve got an adjustable thigh support- a first in its segment.

Tech-wise, it isn’t too shabby. A big touchscreen at the centre and clear, readable digital gauges. There is even a wireless charger. Welcome to 2024!

Under the hood, you’ve got 2 options to choose from. There’s a regular 1.2 NA petrol engine that’ll get a fair job done and a 1.2L turbo-petrol that is good enough to churn out 110 hp. Stick shift or automatic – your call.

Safety stuff? Yeah, they’ve got that covered too. Airbags all over and all those letters – ABS, ESP, you name it.

No word on the price yet. They’re going up against some big names like Hyundai and Kia, so they gotta bring their A-game. However, The biggest rival would be the upcoming Tata Curvv, rumoured to define the segment.

Will the Citroen Basalt shake things up? Who knows. But it’s definitely gonna make the SUV space more interesting.
