Citroen C3 Aircross (Creta Rival) Debuts, Quick Details

Citroen’s fourth product for India

Citroen has unveiled the C3 Aircross, its latest and fourth offering in India, following the eC3, C3 hatchback, and C5 Aircross SUV. Citroen C3 Aircross SUV is scheduled to hit the Indian market in the latter half of 2023.

Citroen C3 Aircross SUV is underpinned by the CMP platform and is the second product in the India-centric C-Cubed programme. Although it shares its name and powertrain with the C3 hatchback, the Aircross is bigger in size, with an extended length and wheelbase. As a result, it will compete in the midsize SUV market segment.

Design

Although Citroen has not released many details about the C3 Aircross SUV, it has been confirmed that the vehicle will be approximately 4.3 meters long, placing it on par with the popular Creta. The SUV’s design is inspired by the styling cues of the Citroen family, with a clear resemblance to the C3 hatchback. However, the Aircross is much larger than the hatchback, boasting a significantly larger footprint.

The two-layer, stylish front grille has the fair-sized Citroen logo neatly integrated into it. The signature Y-shaped daytime running lamps are also present, with the headlamps located directly below them. Although the Aircross is equipped with halogen headlamps even in the fully-loaded version, it still stands out with its tall front bumper, which includes a dedicated air intake vent and round fog lamp enclosures. Additionally, the brushed aluminium chin of the vehicle is quite prominent.

The C3 Aircross retains the dashboard of the hatchback, only with slight additions of colours and detailing. The 10-inch infotainment touchscreen remains the centre of attraction inside the cabin.
