The Mountain Goat 4WD Expedition is one of the toughest, most enduring trail-runs in the country. It puts the 4WD machines and their drivers to rigorous tests in sub-zero temperatures. Mountain Goat Winter Expedition 2021 had witnessed its start on Jan 11 and over a span of 5 days, passed through a number of terrains like Kalpa, Chitkul, and Jalori Pass before culminating in Manali on January 16.
With the temperatures dropping to -20 and -30 degree marks and with limited Oxygen levels, the Mountain Goat expedition was indeed a tough test for both the man and the machine. As a first of its kind in Lahaul, a convoy of 45 vehicles reached Baralatchala after entering the Northern side of the wall.
