Hero Motocorp To Hike Prices In 2020!

The upward revision in prices of Hero Motocorp products will come into effect from Jan 01, 2020, say sources

Hero Motocorp, the world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, has finally made the most expected announcement of an imminent price hike. As we near the end of the year, the manufacturer has announced that they would be hiking the prices in 2020. Hero bikes and Hero scooters all will but see a rise of up to INR 2000 depending on the model. There will be market-specific variations as well.

The upward revisions would come into play from Jan 01, 2020. It is quite common for manufacturers to come up with such hikes during these times of the year. We had recently seen many brands doing the same, Hyundai to quote an instance. As part of extracting the max sales for their products, these brands are offering various end-of-the-year offers as well.

But this time around, we need to relate these hikes to the upcoming BS6 regulations as well. Hero Motocorp has been the country’s first two-wheeler brand to be certified BS6 compliant. They had received the title back in July 2019. The all-new Hero Splendor iSmart is essentially the first BS6 motorcycle in India. Thus Hero seems to be very aggressive in the journey and seems to go all BS6 well ahead of the government-issued deadline.
