2021 Chevrolet Tahoe and Chevrolet Suburban Are Now Out, Here Is All You Need To Know!

Following the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado, here come the 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe and Chevy Suburban…

The Chevrolet Suburban and the tad smaller Tahoe have been two highly popular models for GM in the US and these have now put on their 2021 suits. It’s not been long since we saw the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado being spawned and here they are, the big brothers… Quite anticipated!

Both the Tahoe and the Suburban have grown a fair bit and are now greater ‘haulers’ overall! The Suburban has grown 4.1 inches in wheelbase and about 1.3 inches in overall length. The Chevy Tahoe sees an increase of around 4.9 inches in wheelbase and a stupendous 6.7 inches in bumper-to-bumper distance! These are quite hefty numbers to talk of, sigh!

The hikes in dimensions have, obviously, made up LOTTA ROOM inside. I mean, you could now have around 60% more cargo room behind the third row in the Tahoe and around 19% more max cargo space behind the first row for the Chevrolet Suburban. Both these are undoubtedly the benchmarks in the respective segments. The third benchers in the 2021 Chevy Tahoe would now get to enjoy around 254mm of additional legroom as well.

The 2021 Chevrolet Suburban and chevy Tahoe have both been evidently drawn on the Silverado as far as the design front is concerned. Stuff like LED lighting upfront and at the rear now come standard. There are optional 20 inchers joining the otherwise standard 18-inch wheels. Both the vehicles would also come with 9 exterior paints to choose from!

‘Room’ is the first thing you would find inside the Tahoe and Suburban. But if not for this, the next thing found in plenty inside would be the display screens! As many as five screens can be found scattered inside the cabin, including a centrally mounted 10-inch infotainment screen that is apparently the largest in the class.

A lot has changed under the skin as well. There is no game of carryover underpinnings here. Both the SUVs now get a multi-link independent rear suspension. Guaranteed thus, are a smoother ride and sharper handling. Plus, Magnetic Ride Control and Air Ride Adaptive suspension systems are available as optional extras.

However, Chevrolet has not yet given out the towing statistics of these SUVs. Something fishy there? Has the low slung design hampered with the towing capability? Well, I doubt…

Talking of the engines, there are still the familiar 5.3L V8, 6.2L V8 mills letting out 355 hp and 420 hp respectively. Plus, the 2021 SUV duo also get a new 3.0L Duramax inline-six turbo diesel, good to churn out 277hp and 460 pound-feet! A 10-speed automatic transmission comes mated to all the three engines.

So, how happy are you with this news? How badly do you want to get behind the wheels of these? Let us know through the comments…
